CSRC Improves Regulation of Subsidiaries of Fund Management Companies

The China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) recently released the Provisions on the Administration of Subsidiaries of Fund Management Companies and the Interim Provisions on the Administration of Risk Control Indicators of Specific Client Asset Management Subsidiaries of Fund Management Companies.
The amendment and making of the two sets of Provisions underscore strengthened regulation and risk prevention and control. The latter has transitional arrangements for existing subsidiaries of fund management companies to reach standards by steps. Within 12 months and 18 months after implementation, all risk control indicators should reach 50% and 100% of the prescribed standards, respectively.
