The Opinions of Beijing Municipal Commission of Education on Enrollment for Compulsory Education in 2014 provide for that school-age children who have attained the age of six with registered permanent residence in this Municipality shall enroll in neighborhood schools without examination. After elementary education, district or county commissions of education will make delineation of single schools or multi-schools according to the number of school-age children, the distribution of schools, and other factors.
