The Ministry of Agriculture and the China Food and Drug Administration recently released the Opinions on Strengthening the Supervision over and Management of Quality and Safety of Edible Agricultural Products.
The Opinions stress on accelerating the building up of supervision system for edible agricultural products throughout the food chain, improving coordination among various supervision and management efforts regarding quality and safety of edible agricultural products, pushing to realize traceability of edible agricultural products from manufacturers to before reaching wholesale, retail market or processing enterprises.
