On December 16, the China Food and Drug Administration (CFDA) and the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) released the Notice on Strigently Investigating and Cracking Down Illegal Sale of Compound Phosphate Oral Solution Containing Codeine by Pharmaceutical Wholesale Enterprises.
The Notice requires that food and drug administrations across the country shall, together with the public security authorities, strigently investigate and crack down relevant cases in accordance with laws and regulations, and decisively cut off the illegal sales chain of compound phosphate oral solution containing codeine to protect the physical and mental health of teenagers.
