The China Insurance Regulatory Commission recently released the Interim Measures for the Administration of Agricultural Insurance Underwriting and Claim.
The Measures for the first time establish norms on crucial aspects such as the underwriting, claims, assistance in the handling of insurance business and internal control of insurance companies. In addition, the Measures strengthen the system control of insurance underwriting and claim information, clarify the management responsibility of insurance institutions for assistance business, and provide requirements on the improvement of insurance companies' internal control.
