The Securities Association of China, the Asset Management Association of China, the Shanghai Stock Exchange and the Shenzhen Stock Exchange issued the Notice on Relevant Issues concerning Promoting the Development of Short Selling.
The Notice requires optimizing the trading mechanism for short selling transactions, supporting participation in short selling transactions by profession organization investors, expanding the sources for short selling, launching market-driven contractual declaration means for short selling refinance, and increasing the number of in-scope stocks to 1100.
