The 15th Session of the Standing Committee of the 12th National People's Congress recently passed the National Security Law.
The new National Security Law contains seven chapters, stipulating the tasks and obligations for safeguarding the national security, the national security system, the safeguarding of the national security as well as the obligations and rights of citizens and organizations, and specifying the tasks regarding the national security in eleven areas such as the political security, the homeland security, the military security, the cultural security and the technological security. Under the law, April 15 will be the National Security Education Day each year.
