Recently, the Ministry of Finance, the People's Bank of China and the China Securities Regulatory Commission jointly issued the Notice of Matters concerning Regulating the Asset Securitization of Public-Private Partnership Projects.
The Notice requires: (1) steady promotion of asset securitization of PPP projects by category; (2) strict screening of PPP projects for asset securitization; (3) improvement of working procedures for asset securitization of PPP projects; and (4) strengthened supervision of asset securitization of PPP projects.
