China's first Arbitration Rules on International Investment Dispute developed by the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC) enter into force on October 1.
The Rules contain two parts: the main text and annex. The main text provides for the scope of cases accepted, the jurisdictional basis, the bodies accepting cases, the division of duties, and the application of rules, among others. The annex provides for the methods and rates of fees charged for arbitration and the application and acceptance under an emergency arbitrator procedure, among others.
