| To implement the Cross-Strait Investment Protection and Promotion Agreement and further strengthen the protection of personal freedom and safety of cross-strait investors and related persons, the Association for Relations Across the Taiwan Straits and Straits Exchange Foundation reach a consensus on the following specific measures taken by the relevant competent business authorities across the strait upon equal negotiations: | | 为落实《海峡两岸投资保护和促进协议》，进一步加强对两岸投资者及相关人员的人身自由与安全保护，经海峡两岸关系协会与财团法人海峡交流基金会协商同意，就两岸相关业务主管部门采取以下具体措施达成共识： |
| One side shall, under its provisions, notify the other side within 24 hours from the time when the personal freedom of any investor or related person of the other side is restricted. At the same time, one side shall, according to the notification mechanism established under the Cross-Strait Agreement on Joint Crime-Fighting and Mutual Judicial Assistance, notify the competent business authority designated by the other side in a timely manner, and try its best to shorten the time for notification. If a party's relatives inquire the other side's competent business authority via one side's competent business authority, the other side shall promptly provide the inquiry results. | | 双方将依据各自规定，对另一方投资者及相关人员，自限制人身自由时起24小时内通知。同时依据《海峡两岸共同打击犯罪及司法互助协议》建立的联系机制，及时通报对方指定的业务主管部门，并且应尽量缩短通报的时间。如果当事人家属通过一方业务主管部门向另一方业务主管部门进行查询，另一方应将查询结果尽快回复。 |
