The National Anthem Law of the People's Republic of China, as adopted at the 29th Session of the Standing Committee of the Twelfth National People's Congress of the People's Republic of China on September 1, 2017, is hereby issued, and shall come into force on October 1, 2017. 《中华人民共和国国歌法》已由中华人民共和国第十二届全国人民代表大会常务委员会第二十九次会议于2017年9月1日通过,现予公布,自2017年10月1日起施行。

National Anthem Law of the People's Republic of China 中华人民共和国国歌法
(Adopted at the 29th Session of the Standing Committee of the Twelfth National People's Congress of the People's Republic of China on September 1, 2017) (2017年9月1日第十二届全国人民代表大会常务委员会第二十九次会议通过)
Article 1 This Law is developed in accordance with the Constitution for the purposes of maintaining the dignity of the national anthem, regulating the playing, singing, broadcasting and use of the national anthem, enhancing citizens' consciousness of the state, carrying forward the spirit of patriotism, and cultivating and practicing the core socialist values.   第一条 为了维护国歌的尊严,规范国歌的奏唱、播放和使用,增强公民的国家观念,弘扬爱国主义精神,培育和践行社会主义核心价值观,根据宪法,制定本法。
Article 2 The “March of the Volunteers” is the national anthem of the People's Republic of China.   第二条 中华人民共和国国歌是《义勇军进行曲》。
Article 3 The national anthem of the People's Republic of China is the symbol and sign of the People's Republic of China.   第三条 中华人民共和国国歌是中华人民共和国的象征和标志。
All citizens and organizations shall respect the national anthem and maintain the dignity of the national anthem. 一切公民和组织都应当尊重国歌,维护国歌的尊严。
Article 4 The national anthem shall be played and sung on the following occasions:   第四条 在下列场合,应当奏唱国歌:
(1) Opening and closing ceremonies of sessions of the National People's Congress and local people's congresses at all levels; and opening and closing ceremonies of sessions of the National Committee and local committees at all levels of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. (一) 全国人民代表大会会议和地方各级人民代表大会会议的开幕、闭幕;中国人民政治协商会议全国委员会会议和地方各级委员会会议的开幕、闭幕;
(2) Congresses at all levels of all political parties and people's organizations, among others. (二) 各政党、各人民团体的各级代表大会等;
(3) Ceremonies of pledging allegiance to the Constitution. (三) 宪法宣誓仪式;
